Cruise Ship Program 2010/2011
The cruise ship schedule is almost official and it shows that we will see a slightly different season this year. At the present time, 39 cruise ship visits have been confirmed, (just one less than last year). The first one arrives on the 13th of October and the last one will be in port on the 5th of May 2011.
What is apparent this year is an increase in smaller, luxury mini cruise ships with more space per guest, however; much fewer passengers. For example, the addition for the 2010/11 season will be nine visits from the ‘Star Flyer’, a 306 foot ‘Clipper’ with a maximum capacity of only 170 passengers.
We will have 11 visits from the bigger (2,000 passenger maximum) cruise ships such as the Coral Princess, Sea Princess and Oceana. The ever popular Windstar is scheduled for a total of 15 visits.
As usual, Del Sur News will publish the complete list as soon as it is confirmed, as well as any updates and weekly schedule as soon as the season starts.

El calendario de cruceros es casi oficial y se nota que vamos a ver una temporada un poco diferente este año. En la actualidad, 39 visitas de cruceros se han confirmado, (sólo uno menos que el año pasado). El primero llega el 13 de octubre y el último estará en el puerto el dÃa 5 de mayo de 2011.
Lo que es evidente este año es un aumento de los más pequeños, los mini cruceros de lujo con más espacio por huésped, sin embargo, muchos menos pasajeros. Por ejemplo, la adición de la temporada 2010/11 será de nueve visitas de los ‘Star Flyer’, un velero de 306 pies, con una capacidad máxima de sólo 170 pasajeros.
Vamos a tener 11 visitas de los más grandes (2.000 pasajeros máximo), tales como el Coral Princess, Sea Princess y OceanÃa. El siempre popular Windstar está previsto para un total de 15 visitas.
