PATRICIA CLAEYS FOUNDATION PROVIDES HELP

NATE DISASTER RELIEF CONTINUES

Officials and teachers from the Patricia Claeys Foundation (Margaret Morganroth Institute – IMMG) together with Saturday School students and rural monitors, in recent days conducted direct visits to IMMG students who were affected by heavy rainfall caused by tropical storm Nate when it hit the Municipality of in San Juan del Sur.

The visits were aimed at solidarity with those affected by offering food and other donations for their families.

Thanks to the donation from the Newton-San Juan del Sur Sister City Project, packages containing; rice, beans, oil, pasta, sardines, sauces, washing soap, bath soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, toilet paper, milk and cereals were delivered to various families. In addition, packages of clothing for children, women and men as well as shoes were delivered thanks to the contribution made by the population of San Juan del Sur as a result of a collection held on Sunday, October 8th at the in Community Pharmacy.

The donations included notebooks and pens for all the students to restart their classes as they lost their books and notebooks.

Patricia Claeys Foundation continues to unite efforts to provide comprehensive support to students and their families. In the next few days they will carry out visits to deliver medicines and in addition will be holding raffles etc. to collect funds for the reconstruction of the damaged houses.

FUNDACIÓN PATRICIA CLAEYS BRINDA AYUDA A DAMNIFICADOS

Directivos de Fundación Patricia Claeys, docentes del Instituto Margaret Morganroth (IMMG), estudiantes del turno sabatino, y monitores rurales, realizaron en días recientes visitas directas a estudiantes del IMMG que se vieron afectados por las fuertes lluvias causadas por la tormenta tropical Nate en San Juan del Sur.

Las visitas tuvieron como objetivo solidarizarse con las y los afectados y llevar alimentos y otros donativos para las familias de éstos.

Gracias a la donación del Hermanamiento Newton-San Juan del Sur, se hizo entrega de paquete conteniendo arroz, frijoles, aceite, pastas, sardinas, salsas, jabón para lavar, jabón de baño, pasta dental, cepillo dental, papel higiénico, leche y cereales. Además, se entregaron paquetes de ropa para niño, mujeres y hombres y zapatos, gracias al aporte realizado por la población de San Juan del Sur en la recolecta realizada el pasado domingo 8 de octubre en Farmacia Comunal.

Los donativos incluyen cuadernos y lapiceros a todos los estudiantes para reiniciar sus clases ya que perdieron sus libros y cuadernos.

Fundación Patricia Claeys continúa uniendo esfuerzos para dar apoyo integral a los estudiantes y las familias de éstos. En los próximos días realizará visitas para llevar medicinas, además, realizará eventos como rifas y kermesse para recolectar fondos y destinarlos para la reconstrucción de las viviendas dañadas.
